Sprinkles of Life - 'every cloud has a silver lining, you just have to look up to see it'

Hello, I am travelling up to Leeds this weekend with my daughter Rosie for a much needed hair cut.  I know that a c. 300 mile round trip for a haircut is probably a bit too far to travel but my hairdresser is very good!  It also gives me an excuse to do a bit of retail therapy and to see my family too on a regular basis.

My Mum has been undergoing intensive daily radio therapy treatment for the last two weeks - only five weeks more to go so I thought I would make something to cheer her up a bit.  I also bought her something from Hotel Chocolat; a ginger selection box that I hope will make her feel better when she is feeling a bit queasy :(

I decided to use the Sprinkles of Life stamp set - initially just for the sentiment 'every cloud has a silver lining - you just have to look up to see it'.  The sentiment also gave me the idea of sticking a small piece of sliver glimmer paper behind the cloud.

I made the little box card using the Gift Bag Punch Board - proving it is not just for making bags!!!!  The little box is tiny - around 8cm high, so cute!  I also used for the first time my Pretty Petals DSP - in truth because it got lost in the depths of my craft room, I was so pleased to find it this week!

I stamped some flowers on the message panel too:

Here is the almost finished card - before putting it in the envelope I added some some little jewels to the flowers but forgot to take a picture (oops)! I had great fun deciding where to 'plant' the trees and the flowers.   In the end I decided not to use the sentiment to decorate this cute little card - I wrote it on the back myself instead.
