Stampin' Up! - She who brings laughter ...

Hello, I'm sharing with you today the project we will be doing at my next workshop on the 29th June in more detail.

I was so sad when I realised that the Feels Good stamp set was being discontinued - its one that I will defiantly not be parting with.  The sentiments are so lovely, when I was asked by a friend to come up with a design for her daughter's birthday this set was the first one that came to mind.

I was able to use some of my favourite colours for this project as my friend and I share similar tastes!
I chose the sentiment ' those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves' but my ladies will be able to choose an an alternative if they prefer, as well as being able swap Pool Party for another colour.  I will try to remember to get some photos to show what all the ladies made so that you can see how it looks in a different colourway.

I stamped the sentiment in Black Memento ink and then heat embossed using Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder.  Using black ink and clear embossing powder instead of black embossing powder reduces the risk of stray black specks right where you don't need them!

I had great fun stamping and die cutting lots of flowers and leaves and then I spent ages arranging them into little clusters in each corner.

Here is the finished piece before it went into the frame (RIBA from IKEA) - its very difficult to photograph something once it is behind glass!

Doesn't it look lovey put into the frame (apologies for the glare from the flash)?
