Stampin' Up! A Little Wild - quick & simple
Hello, here are the details for our first project this week. These stamps are seriously cute - they create the front and the back of each animal and then you can die cut to create tags - complete with a hole for your ribbon or thread - genius idea!
We started by adhering our piece of DSP to the front of the notecard being careful not to add any adhesive in the centre. This would make it slightly difficult to die cut the framelit.
We used the Stitched Shape Framelits Dies to create an aperture for the front of the card - the resulting circle of DSP is then placed back where it came from and adhered to the inside of the card. The extra die cut circle from the note card is an added bonus which my crafty ladies took home with them!
After stamping the elephant I coloured him with a Pro Marker. We then had to do some careful cutting around the head, ears and trunk of the elephant front before adhering to the front of the opening.
Can you guess what I did with the back of the elephant?
Yep, I stuck him on the other side and stamped some grass so he did not look like he was floating in mid air!
I got the idea from a card kit I bought many years ago, (probably from QVC) that had the cutest front and back images of animals peeking through apertures so I thought I would give it a try!
Here is the completed card and envelope.
I used sentiments from Happy Birthday Gorgeous - unfortunately I fear I will be using the 'belated' stamp rather a lot as I am absolutely terrible at birthdays!
If you would like to join me to make one of these cards and another project using this delightful bundle, I have further Coffee & Card sessions on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons this week. You can find the details here.
I will post details of the second Coffee & Cards project later this week so be sure to pop back soon.
You can find the products I used for this project below along with details of how you can receive a free gift from me.
Hope you can join me for a crafty coffee soon!
