Stampin' Up! Fabulous Flamingo - Quick & Simple
Hello, here are the details of our first project for this week. There are three stamps that you can use to create the flamingo and there are lots of options for creating these stunning birds in a variety of colours. You don't even need to use all three stamps as you will see below!
I have seen some marvellous ideas on Pinterest for birds in all sort of styles and colours. Did you know that Stampin' Up! have the most amazing Artisan Design Team? They have regular blog hops to share ideas and inspiration and it was through such a hop that I came across a design by Paula Dobson that I loved - if you view my blog regularly, you will know I love white on white cards! Paula very kindly gave me permission to CASE (copy and selectively edit) her design. You can see her original project here.
I couldn't recall the name for a group of flamingos, so I googled it!
According to google, a group of flamingos can be called a stand, a flamboyance, a colony or a flock!
I think I prefer a flamboyance of flamingos but whatever you call them, they will be fabulous!
The image below was stamped with just two of the stamps - I deliberately off set the second image to add a little depth.
I offered a choice this morning for Coffee & Cards - all the ladies chose the option using the Calypso Coral ink! I (as usual), like both cards and can't decide which I prefer.
If you would like to join me to make one of these cards and another project, I have further Coffee & Card sessions on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons this week. You can find the details here.
I will post details of the second Coffee & Cards project later this week so be sure to pop back soon.
Don't forget that Bonus Days are back for 2017 = £4.50 voucher to spend in August with every £45 spend - lots of us (including me) have already earned a voucher or two!!
You can find the products I used for this project below along with details of how you can receive a free gift from me.
Hope you can join me for a crafty coffee soon.

For this image I used all three stamps, adding in the additional detail with Calypso Coral ink.
If you wished, you could also add the detail using Memento black ink but I thought this looked quite harsh on a mostly white card. What do you think? I would love you to leave a comment below ...

The stamps in this set make it so easy to get a coordinated look inside and out and of course, not forgetting the envelope!
