Stampin' Up! Cake Soiree - stepped up

Hello, here are the details for the second C & C project this week using the Cake Soiree bundle.

We used the Ruffled embossing folder - I think it might be a new favourite for several of my crafty ladies (and me)!

The foliage die in this set is very clever - it allows you cut to all pieces in just one pass through the Big Shot.  The more observant amonst you might also note that there are two of the leaves and some of the flowers too!

I spent some time arranging and then rearranging my flower and leaves before I was happy with the result.  The delicate die cut edge on this tag is so pretty don't you think?

Here is the completed card.

I actually made the sample for this card last week and took it to C & C on Thursday.  Pink is a colour I don't use that much and my crafty ladies were very surprised.  The original card was made with one of the cute Narrow Note Cards but I was asked if we could make a bigger card so, I did!

Here are both cards side by side - which one do you prefer (small for me)?

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week for a crafty coffee. I will post details of the projects for next week shortly.

I will be taking part in the next Stampers by the Dozen blog hop at the weekend; once again I am still working on my project so I will be busy photographing and writing my post tomorrow - talk about last minute! I would love you to visit and hop around with us.  I will be using a rather special stamp set called Sharing Sweet Thoughts.

Hope you have a crafty weekend.

Susan xx
