Stampin' Up! Picture Perfect Birthday - stepped up
Hello, here are the details of the second C & C project this week using Picture Perfect Birthday.
I have really enjoyed using these lovely bright colours and the Scattered Sequins Dynamic TIEF is a firm favourite of mine already. It allows you to create the look of scattered sequins with just a single pass through the Big Shot - love it!
The background stamp for the candles has been 'stamped off' and the accent stripes and spots were stamped at full strength. I used the Layering Circles Framelits - although you can only just see the scalloped edge circle it does add a little definition to the white circle. The candles have been fussy cut and placed at a jaunty angle with the sentiment raised on Dimensionals.
The self adhesive Tutti Fruitti sequins provided the finishing touch.
Does anyone else remember the sweets that Rowntrees used to make with the same name - I used to love them! I wonder if they still make them?
The inside of the card (and the envelope) were also stamped to coordinate.
I had intended to only stamp the candles but, a splodge of Berry Burst necessitated some crafty sprinkles along the edge!
Here is the completed card and envelope.
During the course of the week I made several variations of this project ... these will go into my box of cards for emergency use!
Thanks to everyone who joined me this week. I was undecided about which stamp set to use next week; Apron of Love or Fruit Basket. So I put a poll on my facebook page so my crafty ladies and gents could decide! 73% voted for Apron of Love so, that is what we will be using next week - details to follow shortly.
